Consumers Energy continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic situation.


To limit exposure of COVID-19 to our members and employees, our lobby is closed until further notice. Our employees are still reporting to work and remain available via phone and email.

To support our members who may be experiencing financial hardships as a result of COVID-19, Consumers Energy has temporarily suspended all late fees and disconnects for non-payment through May 31, 2020. The cooperative strongly encourages members who are experiencing financial hardship to call our office at 800-696-6552. We will make every effort to work with our members during this time.

Consumers Energy is a local, member-owned electric cooperative located in Marshalltown, Iowa, with an outpost located in Nevada, Iowa. The cooperative provides electric service to over 5,000 members throughout five counties in Central Iowa: Marshall, Story, Polk, Jasper, and Tama.
